Stellar API

Stellar is an open-source, decentralized blockchain protocol for payments and issuing digital currencies. The network combines powerful features that make it simple to create, send and trade all forms of digital assets. It has no central authority and the network is verified by hundreds of nodes across the globe.

The Stellar API — build without running a node

Access Stellar blockchain data through one unified REST API: transaction and address data, balances, block data, and real-time webhooks for on-chain events — with no Stellar node to run and maintain. Start free and scale as you grow.

Blockchain data

Read Stellar transactions, addresses, balances, UTXOs, and block data through one REST API.

Real-time webhooks

Subscribe to on-chain events — incoming and outgoing transactions, confirmations, and mined blocks.

No node to run

Skip the infrastructure — managed, always-synced access with no node to operate or maintain.

Need prices too? See the crypto price API, or run your own Stellar RPC nodes.

The lumens requirement

Stellar relies on blockchain to keep the network in sync and has its own native token, called the lumen. It was created with a special purpose - to safeguard Stellar's ledger system. The platform requires each account holder to keep a few lumens at all times.
